Failstate are a four-piece Emo/Alternative band from Newport, South Wales that have been active since Autumn 2022.

Their singles ‘Losing Sleep’ and ‘Another Ghost’ gained airplay on BBC Radio 1 within their first year as a band as well as landing a coveted spot in the top 10 of Kerrang! Radio’s “The Deal” competition.

May 2023 marked the release of their debut EP ‘Sad Truth’ along with the music video for “Are You Lonely?”. They sold out Le Pub for their home-town launch and the EP garnered a positive response from online publications, international radio shows and podcasts as well as securing an acoustic slot on the campsite stage at 2000Trees festival. 

With momentum on their side, Failstate then set their sights on 2024. Their most recent single, “Lifeguard” was released on May 10th and was supported by a handful of HMV in-store performances. 2024 has also seen the band share a stage with the likes of: The Nightmares / Midasuno / As December Falls / Saint Agnes and Lizzy Farrell.

Now focused on their sophomore EP, the band are looking to hone their definitive, anthemic emo sound and bring it as many audiences as possible going in to 2025.
