Tooth

The Axiom - 11:30
Tooth are a 4-piece band from London. Pulling inspiration from midwest emo bands of the 90s/00s such as American Football and Title Fight, and combining with the fragile-ness and melody of The Smiths and Big Thief.
This is London’s take on Midwestern emo, and their song ‘Age of Innocence’ could be taken from a Smashing Pumpkins record. Their youth may reflect their point of accessibility into guitar music – missing the 2010s Britpop nostalgia trip, they’ve connected with America’s ‘80s Sonic Youth and Dinosaur Jr. - Clash Magazine (SWN festival live review)
Plucked firmly from a world of crunching alternative rock, there are crashing breakdowns and roaring choruses made to soundtrack your new favourite band. With no songs out and a packed room, it’s clear that word is already getting around. The sky-high ‘Wallflower’ is but one highlight from a set searing with ambition. Tooth nail it and then some. - Dork Magazine (Live at Leeds review)
